Helllo!
It's been quite a busy week! Tutorials started on Monday and I already have 2 presentations to prepare for and a proposal to write. Not to mention all the research I need to do in between!
My first tutorial, Creative Writing, was on the sixth floor of the Michie Building aaaand...the lift wasn't working! Incredibly, I made it up all six floors without huffing and puffing as I normally would've. I've built some leg muscles living on a hill.

From my tutorial room on the sixth floor:
In the same building on the ground floor, there is a small room set aside as the Antiquities Museum! Pretty cool. They even had some chanting music playing in the background, and the lights are dimmed. You could almost forget that you have to run to your next class if you didn't want to be late, blocks away.
Conveniently, Hungry Jacks' just at the bottom of our hill and they have Large Frozen Cokes for AUD1, which go very well with my foot long turkey Subway (saved half of the sub for the next day's lunch).
Monday's dinner:
On campus, there's the Pizza Caffe (yes, with the double 'f'). They have A-Z pizzas on their menu, which you can see here:

Started at A, ANTONIONI - artichoke, champagne ham, marinated mushrooms, slowly working my way down to Z. Haha!

Wednesday was sunny!
Waiting to catch the bus:
Friday is normally my free day but I went to campus for the Study Abroad & Exchange Welcome. Basically, it was just to meet and connect with fellow study abroad and exchange students. We were split into groups and did some ice-breaking games, etc. After some painful socialising, we got to eat some of Australia's 'unique' food.
Lamington, meat pie and Anzac cookie (I LOVE the cookie) :
And pumpkin soup:
Oh, and also lots of Vegemite that they loved to tell how all Aussies love it and that foreigners should be careful about putting two much. I took some home. Hehee. Free stuff, why not. I'm going to toast bread, spread Vegemite and butter on it, and top it off with scrambled eggs for breakfast one day. Mmmm!
Goodie bag they gave out had a pen, post-it notes, jelly beans, a digital photo frame, highlighters, a pendrive and a rubber wrist band.
I then went into the City with Alicia to meet her friends for dinner. Walked past the casino!
There were 4 guys altogether. They were really fun to hang out with. From Malaysia and Singapore and Brunei. Very Ah Beng style. Hahaha! We had dinner at a Malaysian restaurant. NGOM NGOM
And then walked around the city! It's my first time in the city at night. I didn't expect that many people to be out since I have been told that Brisbane has no night life.
We decided to walk across the bridge to South Bank. It was absolutely lovely to walk around there.
Brisbane Wheel at night:
Brisbane City seen from the South Bank:
It started raining and it was already approaching 9pm when we headed to Culture Centre Station to catch the bus home. We detoured to the cinema to get out of the rain and almost caught a movie. Haha!
Hopped onto the train instead as it was closer to where we were than the bus station. My first train ride in Oz!
Altogether a very satisfying, albeit tiring especially for Alicia as she had had class since 9 in the morning. I hope to hang out with this gang more often. Witty, sarcastic and funny. I crave for Ah Beng accents and companionship.
Wish me luck and send me love! <3

I love the pictures of the city at night. I think all unis must have some sort of museum on campus. I remember one in Ncl and may have gone in ONCE but don't remember what was in there or what it looked like.
The A-Z Pizza place sounds cool! :D
Hahah the goodie bag has some awesome stuffs!
