I had to wake up an hour earlier to wake the boys....! Anyway, we got to the Victoria Market around noon. Had a sausage bun (SO GOOD) while wandering around.
Sim ordering for me:
I think outdoor markets are the best! Things are generally cheaper and there are lots of interesting things to see. There were a few stalls where the artists were drawing portraits or caricatures. Amazing to watch them at work. Unfortunately, was not allowed to take pictures of them.
The pet section!
It was a weekday, and also getting close to closing time (2pm) so there weren't many people around already. Also, it was drizzling. Super cold when the wind blew!
After the market, we passed the Shrine of Remembrance on the way to the Royal Botanic Garden.
That's Jun Jie in red and Sim in brown:

This is all I have of the botanic garden:
I don't know if it's because we were there at the wrong season lah or what, but it was boring. I've seen better gardens in New Zealand. Even the botanic garden I went to in Brisbane was more interesting. Anyhow, we walked in for about 10mins and then walked back out.
Went back to the city centre and had ice-cream at IL Dolce Fredo instead. I had Honeycomb Crunch and Berries; JunJie, Mango and Greentea; and Sim, Mango, Passionfruit and Lychee.
Had my first steak for dinner at City Room Grilled Steak House. Dinner was on me!
Ended the day with a movie, GI Joe 2, at the cinema. Bad movie choice, but interesting cinema experience.
Wish me luck & send me love!
